I’ve had my Air Fryer for about two months now, and I love it. My Air Fryer touch Screen Stopped Working, so when I went to go cook something using the touchscreen, it wasn’t working.
So I did some research online to see if anyone else had this problem and what they did to fix it. Here are the steps I took to fix the screen on my Air Fryer.
Why did I get an Air Fryer
My husband bought me an air fryer for Christmas. I love it. It’s fun and easy to use, and there are endless ways to experiment with it.
After some time I noticed that my air fryer touch screen stopped working. Every time I touch it nothing happened.
This was very frustrating because when you have a nice gadget like an air fryer you don’t want it to stop working after only a few months of usage.
So I started investigating why my air fryer touch screen stopped working and what could be done about it.

But that didn’t work either. My conclusion is that there is something wrong with my screen so now I can’t use any of my features like setting up timers or changing temperature settings.
My causes are probably from dropping it too many times or maybe something happened while cleaning it.
How to store it and maintain it
Store your air fryer in a cool, dry area. Make sure it’s off and unplugged before you move it from one place to another.
When you’re not using it, cover its vents and openings with a cloth or paper towel to keep out dust and other airborne particles.
Consider keeping your air fryer plugged in when you’re not using it, too—if left unplugged for extended periods, an appliance can become subject to damage caused by power surges.
Why is my Air Fryer Touch Screen not Working
My causes for why it happened were from mishandling of air fryer, water or damage from other foreign material seeping into touchpad due to external forces.

The first thing I did was get in contact with customer service and they referred me to another number.
They also told me that it would be best if I returned my air fryer and exchanged it because they have had problems with their units before.
After talking with them on the phone and getting no help, I decided to go online and see if there was anything else out there like mine.
What do I do when the screen stops working?
If your touch screen isn’t working, try restarting it by unplugging it and waiting a minute before plugging it back in.
For safety reasons, we don’t recommend unplugging any appliance while you are cooking—so you should plan and plug your air fryer into a power strip that can be easily turned off.
This will allow you to turn off your air fryer without having to worry about interrupting a cooking cycle. Another option is to use an oven mitt or towel to unplug it if you have no other way of turning it off.
Afterward, wait until all parts have cooled down completely before attempting to use it again.
Tips & Tricks on how to use your air fryer
If your touch screen doesn’t work, here are some tips and tricks on how to use your air fryer without a screen.
- First, there are only two buttons: high and low.
- You turn it on by pressing high once to activate it (you don’t need to hold it in for 5 seconds or any nonsense like that).
- Then, you press low once to reduce heat levels—this is handy if you want to cook something else using less heat.
- Finally, you can set a timer by holding down either button until it beeps. That’s all there is to it.

Conclusion
My conclusion is that water can seep into your air fryer and cause some damage to your screen and possibly other parts of your air fryer.
When that happens, it’s going to be harder for you to see what is on your screen and you may have a hard time using it.
What I found when I took apart my air fryer is that water had gotten inside of it, so I had to spend a long time cleaning out all of those parts.
Once they were dry, I put them back together, and now everything works great again.
If you are having problems with your touch screen or anything else in your air fryer, make sure to take it apart and check for any moisture before spending money on new parts.
This way you won’t waste money fixing something that could have been easily fixed by drying out some water.
