If you have tried everything you can think of and it still will not work, then it may be time to reset your Cuisinart coffee maker to get it working again.
This will only work if your Cuisinart coffee maker will not power on or brew at all.
If the issue that you are having is that your Cuisinart coffee maker won’t brew the right amount of coffee, check out our article Fix Cuisinart Coffee Maker Amount, instead.
Be sure that this solution will work with your specific model before using these steps.
Turn off your coffee maker and unplug it
Turn off your coffee maker and unplug it. Some models have an on/off button, while others require you to flip a switch on the cord.
For still others, unplugging them is enough to turn them off and then back on again.
Press Brew or similar buttons: Many coffee makers have different ways of resetting.
If possible, press brew or a similar button for 10 seconds to turn it off completely before turning it back on again later in the steps mentioned below.
Many models will automatically reset when you restart them anyway, but there are some that require a manual reset each time you wish to reset.
Press the Power button five times in a row
The first two times, press on it once each second. The third time, press once within five seconds. The fourth time, do it again within five seconds.
And finally, press once within another five seconds after that.
When you’re done pressing in a row, there should be 30 total seconds between each button press and a pause of about 3-5 seconds in between them; for example 1-2-3-4-5 (pause)-1-2 (pause)-1-2 (pause).
Your coffee maker is now reset! Try using it to brew a fresh pot of coffee or simply turn it off by pressing on Power twice.
Wait until the light turns off again
The carafe temperature is normally between 200 degrees and 205 degrees.
In fact, after brewing one cup of coffee, it may be significantly lower than that. Let it cool for a minute and then check again.
If you’re unable to get into your program menu, you can press the ON/Off button on your coffeemaker for five seconds to manually reset it;
hold down brew for another three seconds once everything has turned off.
The light will blink and turn back on in no time at all, letting you know that you’ve successfully fixed your Cuisinart coffee maker!
Plug your coffee maker back in
Now that you’ve unplugged it, take a look at its maker. There should be some sort of reset button. Look for a tiny hole in your coffee maker and insert something thin, like a paperclip or toothpick, into it.
Once you hit that button, plug your coffee maker back in and turn it on again. It will now run as if nothing happened.
If you still can’t get it to work, try cleaning out any grounds with a soft brush and then giving it another shot.
If all else fails, buy a new one! You can find many affordable options online or at big box stores like Target or Walmart.
Wait a few minutes until your coffee machine works correctly again
If all else fails, try unplugging your coffee maker for about a minute. Your coffee machine should start working again when you plug it back in.:
With your coffee maker plugged back in, you can fill it with water and hit Start to make yourself a fresh pot of coffee.
Congratulations! You’ve now fixed your Cuisinart coffee maker’s reset button.

Conclusion
Fixing your own coffee maker is easier than you might think. Most coffee makers have only one or two moving parts, making them extremely easy to fix.
Sometimes, fixing your machine just requires knowing what’s wrong with it and then following a few easy steps.
It may seem like a hassle when you could just throw out your machine and buy a new one,
but doing so actually wastes more resources than repairing it in most cases (especially because some models can be fixed for as little as $30).
