Open up your fridge door to melt more of it, then rinse out all of that water from inside. Flush out any melted ice with cold water—you may need to do it for a few minutes—until you’re able to hear running water flowing smoothly when you turn on your faucet.
This should get rid of blockages inside and allow enough space for new, clean-tasting ice cubes that are free from germs and minerals.
Reset your refrigerator’s temperature control
This might sound silly, but your refrigerator could be trying to make ice and not telling you. To be sure, check if there’s a red reset button on or near your refrigerator’s dispenser.

The good news is that as long as you buy from GE, they have an excellent customer service department. They will be happy to assist you with getting your refrigerator fixed at no charge.
