2. Check the Connection Strength

The connection between the charging cable, case, and earbuds must be firm. A loose connection can cause a charging issue. Make sure the cable is properly inserted into the charging port.

Also, check the contact points in the charging case. Place your earbuds properly into the case, they must be touching the contact points.

3. Check the Power Supply

Another reason for the no charging problem is the weak power supply. Generally, users charge the JLab earbuds by plugging them into a computer.

If you are doing this, make sure your computer is turned ON and is not in sleep mode. Alternately, connect the charging case directly into the wall power outlet.

You will need a charging adapter for this. Check the outlet, it should be delivering enough power. While they are charging, the LED indicator on the case will be ON.

JLab earbuds take almost 90 minutes to fully charge. So, leave them for the said time and then check the charging status.

4. Clean Your Device

One of the most common reasons earbuds fail to charge is trapped dirt. The connection ports catch tiny dust particles.

Over time, they harden and block the port. So, the USB cable connector cannot fit properly. The solution is to clean the ports on your charging case properly.

Rub a brand new and dry toothbrush to remove the dirt. Then blow out the dust or use a sticky tack to wipe it clean.

In addition, take a Q-tip/cotton swab and wet it with rubbing alcohol to clean the charging cable. Do not use any liquid or sharp tools while cleaning the ports.

5. Try A Software Update

Software bugs are most likely to cause the charging issue. The latest firmware comes with bug fixes and upgrades. So, you should check for the latest software and update your earbuds.

JLab earbuds are supported by an Android and Apple application called Free JLab Audio app. You need to download it from the Play store.

Connect your earbuds to your phone. Launch the app and check for the latest firmware.

Follow the on-screen prompts to install the latest version. It can do the trick and your JLab earbuds will start charging.

6. Restart and Reset Your JLab Earbuds

Sometimes, a simple restart can help solve the issue. Turn OFF your earbuds, wait for 60 seconds and then turn ON again.

The earbuds turn OFF as soon as you place them in the charging case. When you remove them from the case, they turn ON automatically.

However, you can also turn ON your JLab earbuds manually. Touch and hold the sensor at the back for 3 seconds. Release when the LED indicator comes ON.

If this does not work, reset your earbuds;

  1. First, go to the Bluetooth menu on your device (smartphone, tablet, iPhone, or PC) that is connected to JLab earbuds.
  2. Open the Bluetooth pairing list and tap the name of your earbuds.
  3. Click the ‘Forget’ option to disconnect the earbuds from your device.
  4. Now, place your earbuds in the charging case with the lid open.
  5. Tap the touch sensor 4 times, the blue light will blink 4 times and then it will glow solid blue. Repeat the same process with the other JLab earbud.
  6. Now, remove both of the earbuds from the case and maintain a 2-inches distance between them.
  7. The left earbud will start glowing solid white while the right one will blink blue and white.

7. Expired Battery

If possible, charge your JLab earbuds using a wireless charger. But, they must support this feature.

However, if the wireless charger works, your existing charging cable and USB connector need replacement. If they fail to charge through a wireless charger even, the battery has expired.

So, you need to replace the battery of your device. It is better to contact the JLab earbuds manufacturer. Because they can provide you genuine battery.

Alternately, you can replace the battery at home. But, purchase it from a trusted supplier who can provide a genuine battery.
