Check the Power

But if your heat source (i.e., electricity) is working, it’s likely that there is another problem. But you won’t know for sure until you eliminate everything else as an issue first.
This usually means troubleshooting simple problems like faulty thermostats or checking breakers/fuses/circuit switches in your home’s fuse box. If these things seem easy enough to fix, don’t hesitate to give them a try first before calling someone in!
Check the Thermostat Setting
The thermostat is probably set to a lower temperature than you need. Try bumping it up a few degrees and see if that makes a difference.
It’s possible your thermostat is malfunctioning, so try testing with another thermostat in case yours has stopped working properly. If everything seems fine on your end, you can contact an electrician to replace your old one.
The Temperature Doesn’t Rise Quickly Enough
Most electric fireplaces take a while to heat up, sometimes 10-15 minutes or more. This can be a little inconvenient when you just want to turn on a quick heat source in a hurry, but it’s not really that big of an issue.

If your switch isn’t functional, you should also test your outlet for power using a voltmeter to be sure that there’s not a different issue causing your problem. If there is no power at all, though, you may have damaged wires or tripped breakers; contact an electrician immediately if that’s the case.
