How to Reset A BMS
You shouldn’t have to reset your BMS unless you’re changing or adding batteries. To reset it, just turn off your power switch.
You don’t have to shut down your entire bike and get off—just flip that big master toggle on the side of your control box.
If you can’t find a master switch, flip any circuit breaker for about 15 seconds (give or take).
This will be enough time for a small charge to bleed from your system and clear out any residual voltage.
Of course, make sure there is no current flowing through before attempting a reset.
Removing fuses is preferred over pushing buttons when it comes to safety measures around bike battery circuits.

Even if you’re not well versed in batteries, anyone can perform a basic battery reset.
You’ll need:
- rubber gloves
- wire cutters
- simple multimeter
